SYNOPSIS
Eriopis is a dark comedy play about a child who is both loved and cursed by her mother. Two actresses embody the suffocating love-hate relationship between mother and daughter, revealing how the crushing weight of motherhood slowly drives a young woman toward madness.
As Medea struggles to raise and love her child, Eriopis, she is haunted by unresolved grief over a man who once loved her, used her, and ultimately abandoned her. His betrayal ignites an inner conflict that gives rise to a second personality, with inevitable consequences for the child.
Eriopis gradually becomes a dark, darkly comic reflection of her mother. She evolves into a small, sadistic performer, a child who creates bloody drawings and cheerfully philosophizes about evil and imagined forms of torture.
Step by step, Eriopis takes control. With the flair of a comedian and the sharpness of a psychologist, she undermines her mother. As their power constantly shifts, they become locked in a struggle for the throne of their own underworld.
Are Medea and her daughter the beginning of an endlessly recurring, fatalistic family pattern? Or will Eriopis find a way to bring light into the darkness and claim a different fate than her mother?
